Whitsett Park

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

Whitsett Park has 62 acres, and originally opened when the property was destroyed during the 2010 flood. Prior to the flood, this land was the site of a Dairy King restaurant. The restaurant was completely submerged in water during the flood. The land was purchased by the city to turn into a park, not unlike England Park in West Nashville. It has a 1 mile paved walking/jogging path, a picnic pavilion, a playground, and a multipurpose football/soccer field, The playground equipment is new, and beautiful, and has some really cool canopies for shade. It is directly across the street from a creek. It's a little inconvenient for me, personally, but a perfect gem for locals in this neighborhood.
