Warner Dog Park
Updated: Mar 5, 2021
It’s #FurryFriday ! I had the privilege of puppy sitting, and visited some of the Metro Nashville dog parks around town. For the next few Fridays, I’ll be posting some reviews of these dog parks. Please be advised, as I do not have a dog, what I’m looking for in a dog park may not be what your looking for in a dog park. Generally, I wanna get some steps in on my Fitbit while listening to headphones and let the dog run around so we can have a lazy sleepy afternoon on the couch later that afternoon.
Dog Park Name: Warner Dog Park
Address: 50 Vaughan Rd, 37221
Why choose this dog park? Because of all the Nashville dog parks, this one has the biggest community of dog people
Dog Rating: 3 out of 5
Human Rating: 2 out of 5
So this is the least favorite of the dog parks for me. This is because it’s the dog park all of the other dog lovers go to. So even with massive, over-ear Beats on, people still walk up to me and ask me questions. “How old is your dog?” “Oh my dog is getting used to other dogs; how’s yours?” It’s very off putting to me, who knows very very little about dogs. The pet parents congregate in circles like the PTA at elementary school drop off. Plus, the grass is very thin, and there’s no paved path, so your shoes (and dog’s feet) are going to get muddy.
However, it is always popular, and near the beautiful Warner parks, so you can easily make a whole day here. It opened in 2005, as the second dog park in Nashville, and has two acres.
