Stones River Dog Park
Updated: Oct 24, 2020
It’s #FurryFriday ! I had the privilege of puppy sitting, and visited some of the Metro Nashville dog parks around town. For the next few Fridays, I’ll be posting some reviews of these dog parks. Please be advised, as I do not have a dog, what I’m looking for in a dog park may not be what your looking for in a dog park. Generally, I wanna get some steps in on my Fitbit while listening to headphones and let the dog run around so we can have a lazy sleepy afternoon on the couch later that afternoon.
Dog Park Name: Stones River Dog Park
Address: 3734 Bell Rd, 37214
Why choose this dog park? Because it's the cleanest and most well maintained of all the dog parks
Dog Rating: 5 out of 5
Human Rating: 3 out of 5
This park opened in 2016. When you arrive, the initial area is 2.5 acres, with a small paved through pathway for walking, some picnic tables and benches, and a lot of greenery. This area is extremely well maintained. It also has an adjacent human restroom area, and views of the dam. It also is adjacent to many trailways (including bike rentals), so you can easily make a whole day of being here. There are no doggy water areas, though, so I had to grab and empty Gatorade from my car backseat and fill it up in the human restroom to satisfy Little Buddy.
