David Crockett State Park

Updated: Dec 30, 2021

David Crockett State Park is located at 1400 W Gaines St, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Prior to his tenure in Congress, this land served as property where Crockett had a powdermill, a gristmill, and a distillery. Today, this land is a 1300 acre park, with camping, a restaurant, an aviary, a museum, an amphitheater, fishing, boating, and about 10 miles of hiking. Trails include a bike trail (1.45 mi), the Crawfish Valley Trail (2.7 mi), the Lake Road Trail (.8 mi), the Shoal Creek Trail (1.45 mi), the Trail of Tears (2.25 mi), and the Turkey Ridge Trail (1.5 mi). There's a lot to do here, and it's beautiful. Plus, the staff is wonderful. The staff member working the museum had a lot of personal history with the park and was a delight to speak with.
