This park was founded in 1939, and has 8 acres, a community center, a playground, restrooms, a football/multipurpose field, a swimming pool, and a paved walking/jogging path. The park was donated by Mrs. William Coleman, on behalf of her late husband. The park was named for him, as he had been a local community leader. The community center was built in 1964, and dedicated to George Lawrence Dudley, who'd spent much of his life in service to local youth of the neighborhood.
I like the layout of this park, and the walking path. It has little "activities" to do with kids at certain intervals. This park was busy, which surprised me in such a commercial area as opposed to a neighborhood park. But it was very charming, and packed a lot into its real estate.
