This park was founded in 2001, and is a pocket park at .28 acres. It was opened at the same time as the main branch Nashville Public Library across the street. This whole area was revitalized in the 2000-2002 time frame. In the last few years, there's been a severe decline, associated with local homeless. A councilperson was quoted as being concerned with nudity, sex, and drugs, which is incredible when you realize just how tiny this park is. It was closed for renovations funded by the local historic commission and large businesses such as Amazon. It's recent reopening a few months ago is impressive. There's a mural reflecting the library across the street, a stage, many courtyard tables, and many events to make the park family friendly. This was a great excuse to come downtown.
