Burgess Falls State Park
Updated: Dec 30, 2021
Burgess Falls State Park is located in Sparta, Tennessee, covers 350 acres, and includes a 136 foot waterfall. The land was originally owned by Revolutionary War veteren, Tom Burgess, whose family developed a mill that supplied locals. It was established as a state park in 1971. The entire loop is about 2 miles, and you'll see two or three little waterfalls (sprinkles), but at the end the big ole falls that you can actually climb on top of and look over the edge, which is pretty awesome.
